installing deck

Best Buy sells a conversion kit and factory plug adaptors all for about $20. It is pretty simple after that. I did have to run new speaker wires top the rear speakers, for some reason could not get tied into them from the factory plugs.
Hope this helps.

It secures into the dash where the exsisting stereo was, you can put a screw through the mounting plate and into the cd player that will hold it in there.. ANd you can custom make something to go around it, or buy something, your choice. The wiring is simple. But watch out for all those 12V constants in there, you will only need one, I think there are 3 when you take everything out... Or something like that.. atleast on mine there is. THis is for an 84-85

The CD player will mount in the OE 2 piece bracket no problem, but like red13brx7 said this is for '84,'84.

I just disconnected the Factory stereo and removed the tape deck and put the CD Player inbetween the radio and amp. When my CD palyer face plate filps around it looks like a knock out plate...

The next problem you run into though is wiring the speakers. The stock radio has an external amp. You cannot use this with your aftermarket radio. You have to re-wire the speakers also.

Just do what I did, leave the original wires and amps in place and run new wire to the speakers

Easy as pie
