Dealership Tune Up
Dealership Tune Up
Hey Folks,
Quick few questions. I just bought a 85 GSL-SE in September. My wife hates it, I am in Baghdad, so except for the ordered weekly spin around the block, it hasn't been driven much.
That said I am coming back from Iraq for R & R next week and I am having the wifey take it to the Dealership for a tune-up. Question 1) Anybody got any idea the cost of a basic tune-up on an 85 GSL-SE 2) Are there any of those "while you are in there" change or repair items I should instruct the mechanics to do to save me some time or $ down the road? I am not looking to spend a zillion, just have her running right when I am home.
Thanks,
Ken

It's great that your coming back home from Iraq. Look in the South Carolina section or post there and ask it they have any specialty shops that work on RX-7's in the Columbia area. I probably would not take it to the Mazda dealer unless someone recomended one to you.
If it were my car I would do basic tune up items, oil change, all filters, trans fluid and diff fluid.
Good luck & welcome home!
