on the dash.....what goes here?

I was looking on the dash of my 1980 above the heater controls and something appears to be missing....I see a place where something can screw in...but it is gone..

Maybe a light fixture of some kind??? Check out the pic...

My goodness, I don't know what goes there, but I love the Old School. Separate AM and FM mechanical buttons. Totally cool.

You're missing a plastic trim piece. It's a flat plastic plate that holds the top of the center dash piece, and prevents it from popping out.

I have been listening to the 70-80's station for two days now on that old radio....sounds tinny, stereo fades in and out....no bass...no treble....no satellite...no mp-3....no CD......couldn't be MORE perfect!!!

I just took a picture to show you what it looks like. It's easier than trying to explain it. Did the paint shop lose the ***** that go on the heater controls too, and your a/c button?
