I use fiberglass resin to fill the cracks then sand it smooth and cover the dash with cloth or vinal but I learned the hard way with my S10 you need to find fabric that wont fade in the sun. my dash looked great for about 6 months then it started fading and now it looks like crap!!

I have a dash in great condition I'll sell you for the price of that dash cover if you want it. It is for an 85 though, and it looks like you have an 81. Slightly different look. If you want it, PM me.

Getting back to your original question. I prefer a good dash without the cover, but a cover looks good. I got mine through Autozone and it looks pretty good. Sorry, no pics though, no digicam.

I've seen the VB cap on a 79. Looks good, but looks like a plastic cap too. I have some good S3 dashes, but no S2's, sorry.
