Dustin,

Do you know your ignitors are bad? Which one isn't firing (leading, trailing, both)? I am currently selling a setup to use the FC ignitor/coil with the FB distributor on the leading plugs. This needs the FB distributor and ignitors to be working, though. You can't use the CAS without an ECU of somekind. It would take quite a bit of work to get it going (adding sensors, wiring a 2nd gen ECU, and so on). Let's see if we can figure out your problem first. I think jayroc and maybe someone else has a 1st gen distributor w/ ignitors for sale. Your distributor is probably fine, unless you physically removed/cut/broke things in the distributor. You probably just need ignitors. Once we get things going, then you can look at using the FC leading coil for an upgrade.

Did you try to swap the ignitors (take the trailing one off and putting in the leading position)? They are held onto the distributor with two screws. When you switch them or replace them, pick up some heatsink compound from RadioShack or a computer store. Coat the back of the ignitor with the compound before installing. This will provide good heat transfer to the distributorl. For replacements, check the NE section on here, 1st gen for sale section, and local wrecking yards. Once you get them, let's run over the wiring first to make sure it is correct. It the wiring is messed up, it is possible to ruin your new ignitors.

Good luck.
