Cruise control install on a 79?

I'd like to install cruise on my 79. What parts do I need?

regulator, cable, computer, switch?

Does the computer plug into an existing plug on my harness? It did not come with cruise from the factory. Where does the switch go? Also, I have zero emissions so no solenoid rack if that is a problem.

I don't think first gens came with cruise unless it was the GSL-SE in 1984. The computer in the
SAs is basically just an emissions controller for the ignition. You'll probably have to cook
something up on your own. Not sure an FC cruise setup can be "ported" into an SA but I guess
its worth looking into.

Cruise was an option on all 1984-1985. I've never seen cruise on any others (1979-1983).

My old 82 GSL had cruise, never worked so I took it off. I'm not even sure if cruise was even an option on SA's though. There are enough differences between SA and FB that I don't know if it would be an easy install. Might be some pretty major wiring customization needed.

What does the computer run off of? Trailing ignition? I have an 83 distributor. I should be able to rig something up if I get the right computer and servo as long as it's vacuum operated like the 86-91. I guess I'd have to wire a sensor button on my brake pedal and clutch pedal too.
