MN Barkes going out...what part is it?

My brakes well press down to the floor, but they don't slowly release pressure. then I can lift up and press them again while stopping and they well have a lot more pressure. once again they dont slowly release pressure while holding down the brake. this car is an manual tran. and the engine is a 12a 1.1.

yes. but get all the old fluid out. bleeding generally refers to just removing air and grime. not completely removing all the old fluid

Yeah flushing it essentially bleeding the brakes, but continue adding new brake fluid until the fluid coming out of the calipers looks brand new, clean and clear.

Thats just where I would start, being the cheapest and easiest thing to try first. One time my brakes were locking on progressively as I drove and it turned out to be a brake booster.

Could be that hose from the intake to the booster. mine had a hole and no brakes. Replaced hose, brakes work.

possibly the master if flushing don't work. once one part like that fails it's best to do a complete system overhaul. that way u have a completely new system full of fresh brake fluid.

Sounds to me like the booster or master needs to be checked out.
I'm in a situation where the booster is gone. My brakes go to the floor but after a while they will stiffen up again, then go back to the floor.
Although flushing the system will have a noticeable difference, it won't stop your brakes from going to the floor.
