And the crowd went wild!!!

Hector and I went to the Pan-Am Nationals at Atco Raceway yesterday. The crowd was massive! There were a lot of rotary powered Starlet's and several of which were under 8 seconds but whenever a 1st Gen pulled up to the tree the crowd literally went crazy! They all loved the 1st Gen!

That's awesome, with the rotaries for most people it's either they love 'em or they hate 'em, sounds like most of them loved them. What were the KP's running for a motor? PP turbo 13b's? That 1st gen at the bottom looks sick in full race *atire*.

if you look closely at the last pic you'll notice he's launching...i snapped the pic a little too quick because his tires were at least 6 inches off the ground...

I am happy to see the 1st gen getting the respect they truely deserve.
Sure they weren't the fastest, but without them, the 2nd and 3rd gens couldn't have happened.......
People always ask how I like my Rotary powered car, and I tell them there is nothing like it, which is why I drive it everyday.

I don't recall any brown ones. It didn't matter if it was a beater or a killer tricked-out drag car, if it was a 1st Gen the crowd cheared it on!

i brought my cell phone and bob brought his digi cam...thing is it was SO CROWDED that we could hardly get off any good shots...unless you were walking around with a press pass... ...not the mention the heat before it started raining...uhg...it was HOT!

coolest thing was meeting the owner of rx7club.com...saddest thing was watching an rx3(or 4, not sure) warm up his tires, lose control and hit the guard rail
