Crazy positive camber?

I got a little problem: positive camber on the front wheels, and lots of it. The strut tops are turned to max camber. I've got Ground Control poly bushings, ST bar, tokico blues, and TMC springs. I've thought about it and cant think of what adjustments there are besides the strut hats. The only thing I thought of was maybe the swaybar was turned upside down, but it looks to be right. What can I adjust to correct the problem?

Let me get this straight. You have the strut top adjusted to maximum negative camber ie. facing back and in, yet you have positive camber? Is this with the car under load at the normal ride height?

That's right.
Normal ride height.
And my new tires look horrible after only 2000 miles.

Anyone know of any good RWL (raised white letter) tires in 13" size?

Tha's actually normal - spec camber is something like +1.5deg.

Just t be safe, make sure you don't have any bent control arms or anything.

As far as I can tell the arms are straight, and everything else seems fine, and there has to be more than +1.5 degrees there. I'll have to take a pic of my tire wear and the suspension pieces to give everyone a better idea.

I don't have any toe plates, but I'd be surprised if it weren't zero.

Here's some photos of the problem area:

Notice the tire wear:

If anyone has any ideas or things I should check out, let me know.

Holy damn! That is some messed up tire wear. Sorry I don't know anything about what might be wrong. Nice brake lines though. Good luck with the diagnostic.

Hey Nimrod, I've always wanted to say that with out the fear of being hit.

Take a tape-measure and a check your toe. Make sure and measure from the same point on the tire from side to side and front to back.(IE middle to middle) I belive stock is 0" of toe.

Next to that make sure the front of the car is strait.

Good luck.

Your toe is definitely messed up... note the rubbing on the sway bar. Shouldn't do that. You don't need "toe plates" to correct - toe is adjusted with the tie rods.

The strut doesn't look bent... can you show a pic with the car on the ground after it's rolled back and forth?

You want to see a pic of the car or the suspension?

The toe plates are to measure the toe accurately. I know how to adjust the toe, but I have a hard time imagining what role the toe would play in this problem (going off my experience when racing R/C cars).

Toe-in would cause massive outer edge wear.

I align my cars with a 2x4 and a pen It's not difficult.

Put the car on the ground, roll it about 10 feet back and forth about 5 times, and take a picture of the car sighting down the side.

Just measured the toe - roughly 13mm of toe in (about 1/2in). I'll correct it tomorrow and get a pic for you to see.

Do you think the toe is the only problem?
