couple "saving/ building a 1st gen" questions
ok, so my G/Fs dad has a rust free, somewhat stripped fb sitting in his garage.. it just sits, he wants to put a piston engine in it.... but i dont know if hell get around to doing it..
anyways..
id like a drift/ auto-x car
how cheap would a build be on a shell like that?
could i get a 13bt in it? would it break easy?
i mean hell its already stripped, its just asking to be a track car, and id hate to see it go to waste with a piston engine..

Terrified.
A 13bt out of a TII will fit easily, tons of people have done it. It does take fabrication, and it does take the time, but you can do it. If you have the tranny, engine, ecu, wiring harness etc. etc. you'll need to custom fab an engine mount, tranny mount, and then have a custom driveshaft. I'm not really going to be the most informative person on this topic since I've not done it, I've just read up on it.
I think this thread will come in handy.

Ok-...first things first.... your stealing a girlfriends...DAD's hobby!! lol...your just looking for an *** woopen!
Nah- putting a 13BT is eaSy. You have to have the right tools and the fabrication frame of mind. There isn't kit out there were it makes it plug and play. It took me almost a month to design and fabricate motor mounts...Tranny...I just modified the orginal to make it work. Anyway...if your serious I can talk more about it...however I have talked about my project so many times that I am tired of typing everything out...and then the person says...ya...well..its something I want to do later on...I dont really have the money right now...blah blah blah...
but yes...in short- it can be done!
