could I get your oppinion?

Hi, the name is josh and I already own an Rx7. but for the past 2 weeks I've been looking for a new car and I think I mite have found it. There is a 1979 Mazda Rx7 for sale and there asking 2,995.00 us dollars for it. This car has a fresh paint job, and straight body, 53,000 on the Cosmo-Sport 12a engine,Dellarto side-draft carb (installed by Hayes Rotary), Racing Beat exhaust and intake manifolds, Racing Beat Springs, KYB shocks and struts, POSI rear end, manual transmission... and I think those are all the mods. I was just curiouse if this is a good deal? should I jump on it? complete waste of money...?

Thx in advanced, Josh

Although I don't know what a Cosmo-Sport engine is, as all the original Cosmos had 10As in them, I'd say go for it! Get it!

What he said...

Make sure you look under the car for rust and check for bin rust. Feel the insides of the wheel wells make sure there is no fiberglass.

A car that has been set up like that was clearly owned by an enthusiats so it may have been a real project car, where the body and everything needed to be repaire .

Just make suer you go in wiht your eyes open

I just got off the phone with the man who is selling it and he said that he had all of the receipts, he has owned it for 6 years and has only put about 5000-6000 miles on the car =)

i would agree with a good tes drive. if you feel it is worth the asking price, by all means go for it.

You could probably get it for $2500 or less just keep bargaining. Personally I like the challenge of a ground up restoration with my own hands and wouldn't buy a car ready. But thats my opinion so go for it.
