Corksport JDM

the Corksport JDM 12a engine, would that be a good buy? i recently got a 1979 rx7, been sitting for 9 years (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT)

putting this engine in it (http://corksport.com/store/category/...c_engines.html), what are everyones thoughts? it has 165hp, but im not sure how it would bolt up, if it could, to the USDM rx's... thx for your help!

Jeezus, is that you?

It would be a better idea to swap in a 13BT if you wanted more hp. The 12AT was only sold in small numbers in Japan, never in the US, so it's harder to find replacement parts/rebuild kits. If you ask me though, you should go with a carb'd 13B 4-port or a 12A. 12A's are cheap, are easier to find parts for (compared to a 12AT) and when in tune, they can get really good gas mileage while still making enough HP to have fun with.

You might want to call them IIRC the only 12at that they had was dismantled. I might be wrong though this was about 2 months ago...
