coolant flush/replacement

well, you can see about 5 spots down i posted about a stock sender vs. an autometer sender, well when i took the stock sender out, alot of coolant came out. i put a bucket under it, and when i pulled it out, i was amazed at how incredibly nasty it was. at first i was just going to top it off, and be on my way, but it was a brownish/greenyish color that was definately cloudy. so i figured while i was at it, i would drain the radiator, flush it all out, and replace it. now the car runs much cooler.

im just wondering how many people normally flush their coolant. i hear its good to do every 2 years/50k miles. ive had the car for about 2 years now, and have never done it, so who knows how bad it was.

i have only owned my 7 for a few months and have had 2 flush it 2-3 times due to e-fan then when i changed the oil o rings on stupid oil cooler tower then when i threw out the stupid oil cooler/water tower in place of an 82 oil cooler. BTW my car runs so much colder with the oil cooler at least a 15 degree drop if not more id reccommend this mod 2 any 1 with an 84-85

nope - regular water will cause mineral buildup and accellerated rusting

50/50 coolant and water. Or premixed 100% coolant.

Nowadays I'm getting one of those $5 Prestone flush kits for each car, and I put the Tee into the bottom heater hose on the passenger side.
