I recently changed the omp on my 84 gsl, ever since doing so the fuel gauge has been off. It will only read from half to full tank. Anything below half tank the needle stays below the " E ". Is there any relationship between the omp and the gauge or is this just a coincidence?

I can't think of any relationship between the two, myself.
FWIW, seems like every time I mess with anything on the car, something else gets flooky, making me wonder if I caused that problem also. Drives me nuts, but it usually turns out to be a coincidence. That, and I'm damned.

 

I also can't think of any reason it would affect it.... they're completely unrelated, and the wiring for the fuel gauge doesn't even go near the OMP....
