Exclamation connecting pipe exghust heat senser???

is it ok to remove this i am wanting to take the stock connecting pipe off to do some welding for a by-pass pipe but need it off the car and that steel braided line is the only thing holding it on the car right now and the bolts at the flange are rounded off with no way of coming off unless i break it off...............
