I need help putting the combo switch back in, i don't believe i have all the pieces, but i'm really not sure at all. Does anyone have any pictures or could give me a detailed description of how it's reinstalled?

It turns on the lights, activates the turn signals, toggles the brights...

I've already ran into problems and haven't even touched the motor or anything for that matter that will get it running again. I can see how well this is going to work.

It ain't that hard, I did mine 2 weeks ago. Just plug all your connectors back in, and reinstall. There's also a white collar on the combo switch that lines up with a notch in the steering wheel. Don't forget to tighten the clip that holds the combo switch on the column. Then try every accessory, if all works well put your steering wheel back on and drive! No really, this is easy stuff.

Maybe you're talking about the steering column...

Mine isn't working so easy, something has to be missing. The switch just flops around, it doesn't click into position for the brights. I think i'm just going to ruin a switch for my exterior lights and just use the combo switch for my turn signals.

Actually I replaced mine because the windshield wiper stalk wasn't clicking. Is your combo switch on right and tight, and only your headlight stalk is flopping around?
Or is your whole combo switch loose, if it is loose it's because you didn't tighten the collar that holds it to the steering column, just look underneath it and you should see a phillips screw. if only your headlight stalk is flopping around you need a new combo switch.

It sounds like you lost the ball bearing that "clicks" the switch into each position. Have a good look around the area where you worked on the switch and on the carpet beneath the steering column. It probably didn't go far as it's covered with seventeen-year-old grease. (tends to keep it from rolling away-thank God.)

Yes, it's the ball bearing i was missing. I didn't know where to put it though and lost it in my steering column. I'm just going to run switches inside my cabin for my lights and brights.
