The switch on the clutch is for the cruise control.

Well my car had cruise control before it had a clutch switch so I am confused about that. The car was originally an automatic so maybe that factors into it.

Automatics did have a inhibitor switch (neutral safety switch) that will need to be bypassed. Clutch switch is cruise control cancel only not starting.

Okay, this diagram helps a lot. So I will need to bypass the neutral safety switch by just cutting it out and replacing a wire there? I am not very familiar with wiring so this part is new to me. I don't really care about cruise control I really only need the car to start
