Clarion wiring question

Hey ya'll

I'm putting the original stereo back into my 85 gsl-se. I bought a radio off the classified section and modified it to have led lights and an aux input.

The original wiring harness was left undamaged in the vehicle, so you think it would be a simple plug and play. The problem is that the output that goes to the audio joy stick and then to the amps is a 7 pin on the harness side, and what seems to be a 5 pin on the radio side.

I don't see anywhere where I can plug the harness into my radio. What am I missing here?

Thanks for your help in advance.

What did the radio come out of? Older radios from SAs don't have external amps normally and only have the 5 pin DIN for connecting things.

Yeah I'm not sure what it came out of. All the other connectors at the back connect normally.

That's a 1984/1985 radio so it;s correct. Isn't there a small conversion cable?

Oh yeah, I think I bought it from you, actually, lol

There must be a small adapter or something.

I think you might be missing the adapter plug that goes from the car-side plug to the back of the radio... I'm working on mine and have it apart... I'll check it when I get home. It goes from the car plug to 2 5-pin connections/plugs. That white plug/cap on the back of your radio comes off and takes the 2nd 5 pin plug. At least, that's how mine is configured.
