Clack at 4000 Rpms

Hey guys, took the car out and pushed it past 4K heard a bunch of clacking. Limped it home and revved it. Sounds like water pump bearing might have broken, it didn't over heat. The sound was more random than in tempo with the rpmsPlease oh please tell me it isn't the front rotor? If I pull the spark plugs off what signs should I be looking for?

Well shoot, nothing from y'all. I took the water pump off and the v part of the pulley is bent out of whack. Should be getting a replacement tomorrow. Did a puff test and good compression on both rotors.

I had to jimmy the old water pump off with the pulley on. How do I get it on without needed to bend it with a pry bar.

Slide the water pump pulley onto the pump shaft but leave it unbolted until you have the pump in place and bolted down. That usually gives you enough slack to get it past the main.
