Charcoal canister

I have a 12A. Gas has started coming out the charcoal canister and it floods after running for a bit. Isn't the charcoal canister only supposed to be getting the fumes, not the liquid? What could cause this?

First, have you changed any vacuum or fuel lines recently? Possibly hooked up something goofy..

Then, look for kinked/damaged fuel return lines, carb float levels after that...

after that, you may be looking at pulling the fuel pump from the tank and checking for the odd failed line...

I don't believe I've hooked something up wrong, but if I have I'm not sure what it would be. I've been poking around, but everything should have been put back the way it always was.

Float glasses show appox half.

Fuel return line could be a good bet. Any extra fuel not taken by the carb should be sent back to the tank, correct? To test would I disconnect the return line from the carb and blow into it to check for blockage? I assume I should be able to blow straight through to the tank.

Yes, you should be able to blow through the return line back into the tank.

Welcome to the forum, and the Darkside as some of us call it here.

In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual and a couple other publications. Download what you need. You might DL the S3 manual too as it has better diagrams and more details than the earlier editions.
