I am really interested in this... So I would like if we can make a list of interested members of the forum to get the hoods; as I read we can get a nice price if there are 10 hoods request... Please, post here when you have the information and how much would it be for us to pay for the CF Hoods...

ill make them if 10 SERIOUS buyers step up to the bat i already have a mold for the TII scoop.
LMK what you think..
Paulo.
it says right here how much the guy wants to charge. if you notice the second he posts this, there are no more replies. (except asking how much)???

www.rotorhead.ca i believe is mantis's site, he has a nice fiberglass vented hood for sale

as far as CF hoods, im not going to get excited about anything till i see it. it seems people keep making promises, and nothing ever happens. no one is serious enough to really get the job done. or to pay to get the job done for that matter.

sorry i just had to vent a little about that

I am trying to get serious about the information; I contacted 2 shops that are interested in this CF hoods but they are going to send me the quotation probably next week; about the total price, we can get a special price if we can get 8-10 interested buyers, this will help a lot for the hoods.

I will post the entire document when I receive it...

I've ordered the fibreglass one from Rotorhead.ca and I've been informed that a new mold has been made and they'll be pulling a few more off, soon. I am eagerly waiting; no exact date, though. I'll post pics of mine just as soon as I receive it and bolt it on.
The hood is the show-stopper for my new paint plans, atm, as my current one just started rusting at random spots. I have no rust on the car, anywhere, except for the hood; and it appears that the rust starts from the underside, but not necessarily where the cross-bracing welds are.

OK I'm back in this, check out my post for fibreglass hoods, we can do CF also at a higher cost. All I need is confirmed orders. If you want a hood scoop get a sample of the scoop to me asap.

Thumbs up Carbon Fiber Hoods Information...

Ok guys. I found a guy in Australia that can make the Cf Hoods for all the people in the forum. I am youst telling you this information because I am trying as hard as I can to keep you informed for this.

You will find pictures of the CF Hood at the bottom of this post, they look great and the price is a little bit high so we will have to make a group buy to get them with a great price.

This is the complete Posts that he sent to me with the information:

1.-Hello, I am happy to say that yes do have a C/F bonnet on my car and yes I do another one available for purchase. Vented ones are also available by order. here are some pics of my car with bonnet on.

If you are interested let me know.
Cheers. Alexis

2.- How you going? The hood is $670 USD / $880 AUD. I will find out about shipping for you tomorrow, it is a public holiday today so no one is working. Will you be happy with sea freight? Air freight price is usually quite high. The bonnet opens the same as factory bonnet and bolts up to original hinges with no modifications. You might want to use some hood pins with it if you drive above 65mph regularly.
Cheers. Alexis

3.-Hi again. I can get as many as you want made. There is two layers of Carbon with fibreglass underneath. Bonnets weigh around 4kg which is about 10-11kg lighter (1lb=.454kg's) than factory metal ones. How many other people do you think might be interested?

Cheers. Alexis

Please, tell me if we are ok with this, I need to tell him how many do we need, he will get the price down for the group buy, I know we need to take the price very low from here but I think we can.

I will be waiting for your help with this and to get the group buy with the Best Person or Best Shop... I am saying that we have to buy them from the best offer.

Waiting for replies...

My mold is being made as we speak, also planning on a TII hood scoop option, in CF, Kevlar or Fibreglass, should be affordable and very high quality, final pricing not yet worked out but it will be under $500 for CF and a lot less for fibreglass. Weights still pending also.
