hey is there any update on the carbon fiber hood? does anybody have ANYTHING carbon fiber on their car? all i have is 2 carbon fiber exterior mount gauges. but i was wondering when the hoods are coming out.. manntis?

 

yea, what's up with that? I remember people trying to get a group buy going, but it all fell through. Somone was actually making them, were they not? I still want one.

What kind of weight savings are there? It doesn't seem like it would be that much. Just rip out your emissions and a/c.

 

Its not for weight savings, its for venting underhood heat.

a cf vents upon request.

i will be coming out with an airdam, side skirts and flares for the 7 i will post

ok, so i'm new to the site, I too want a carbon fiber hood for my SE, noticed the thread hasen't been active since January. Wanna know whats up, if there is going to be CF Hoods made for the FB's!

 

Nice I would like to see some pictures or graph of the side skirt and hood maybe wing etc.. if possible. I might be interested sometime when I have cash but it is something to look forward to if I like it.

 

I would be interested in the airdamn and maybe skirts, but ya manntis has a nice looking hood he is doing.

A composite hood IS all about saving weight, be-it seaglass or a carbon cloth.

Hi guys, what it take to make a hood would be 10 buyers willing to front 1/2 the money for them price would be 450.00 plus shipping..
the price of carbon fiber just doubled in the past few weeks and is projected to be unavailable by the end of the year, i can only guarantee the first 10 after that they would be subject to the availability of the material.
ill make them if 10 SERIOUS buyers step up to the bat i already have a mold for the TII scoop.
