carb rebuild problem

ok i rebuilt the carb new jets hole nine yards. i bolted the thing on tightend it down. it started up but it idled at 2k and it was way to rich i had smoke comming out the exhaust. so i kill it and decided to hook up the elelctronics and see if tyhat fixes it before i mess with the idle and mixture screws. then i go to start it and it runs fuel over the top of the carb and floods. so i am now trying figure out where to the set the mixture screw before i try to start agian. there is no vacum leak. but why is there that much fuel runing over. ohh yeah one question under the peice between the two front barrels there is a ball bearing and a weight. i put them back in the way i thought they came out i put the weight last and first the ball bearing. but why i am getting this much fuel? please help? i have to get this thing running tonight.

There's a wire that needs to be hooked up to the float bowl vent solenoid. It's under and inbetween the oil injection lines.
Didja do taht?
Flooding like that has nothing to do with the accelerator pump nozzle. Could be that your needles are getting hung up.

Idling @ 2k is usually a sign that you have a vacuum leak.
