Are you trying to troubleshoot a Nikki carb, or a Weber?

If the Nikki, then there are two possibilities that come to mind. The float bowl vent solenoid might not be hooked up, or the wire not feeding it 12 volts as needed. Or, the return line restrictor might be absent or installed backwards...

Patience Grasshopper. We generally ask that you wait 24 hours before bumping up a technical question .

No, I don't have the answer either.

Maybe member Wackyracer will see it and chime in. He has a lot of experience with Weber Carburetors.

Well, I don't know anything about Webers, but logic would say that either your float needles are stuck open (if the flooding occurs without the car running), or the fuel pump regulator is set too high (pressure is overcoming the return or float needles, or if it is while it is running the idle is too high (either set that way, or an air leak) causing the carb to pull fuel in to the carb.

If you are still running the EFI pump, then you are flooding the carb with too much pressure. You need 4.5 PSI with the Weber.
