Carb Advice - 13B Full BP - Road Race/Slite Drag

Ok first off, it has to be a 4 barrel ONLY!!! I have the lower intake manifold just need a carb for it

Ok the engine will be a large BP'ed 13B, I need to figure out what size carb I need (CFM's, Single or Double Pumper)

What Modes do I have to do, I figured changing out jet sizes but I heard something about a power valve also?

The engine will live most of its life between 5000-8500.

This is a CHEAP build, not because I dont have the money, but I have a spending limit set by something else.

I have also heard something about re jetting a niki and using it, this is suppose to achieve the peak HP and Torque at a lower rpm.

That is about it........ Start the conversation!!!

Go to racingbeat.com and get their modified 650 cfm holley double pumper. Its setup to run on a bridgeport.

Should do you just fine. It would be a good idea to get the throttle cable bracket from Racing Beat though. I always run without the power valve, but some guys have better luck with it on the street. The carbs RB preps, do not have a power valve either. I have ran a 600 on a 12A bridgeport. Plenty on carb.

Sterlings have been reported to run well on BP 12A. No reports of 13B usage. Port a stock manifold and use an adapter plate to bolt it to the 13B. You get a fully tunable Nikki, no need to buy another manifold and they're pretty too. Should flow more than your engine should need, even with a BP. Check out www.sterlingmetalworks.com. There's alot of math in there to find out exactly what your engine will need, as well as some tuning advice. You'll also get customer service and support that you won't receive from RB or Holley.

A sterling carb cant handle a full blown bridge, no matter if its 12-A or 13-B. That is my honest opinion and if anyone wants to argue, bring it on!!! LOL

tasty danish: Heres what i pulled from racing beat's website about the 650 holley double pumper they sell:

"Each carburetor is modified by Racing Beat to maximize the performance of a specific engine application. Every carburetor is disassembled, modified and reworked by a Racing Beat carburetor technician. These modifications are the results of countless hours of engine dyno testing and real-world testing. These extensive modifications are undertaken to increase the airflow to meet the demands of the rotary engine. Each finished carburetor is bench checked by chief engineer/engine builder Jim Mederer."
