You could have. This thread's been active for almost a week now. Part of the reason we were getting frustrated with your hemming and hawing was that we told you this was a good deal from the get-go. Frankly, I'm pretty surprised the car was for sale as long as it was...

I either don't create threads about cars I'm interested in or PM questions to knowledgeable members who I know aren't looking to buy.

Better luck next time. There are other fish in the sea.

I would think people here would have more respect then buy a car from under me when they knew i was looking to buy it. The right thing to do would have been to wait until i looked at it

Life is not fair kid, get used to it!!!!

2 weeks ago, some 25 year old kid got the promotion of his life at my job with a huge salary. 3 days ago he died in his sleep. Quit bitching about a ******* car.

The car could also turn out to be a rust bucket, and he did you a favor.

Hey y'all....want to put this thread to bed. My son was watching that craigslist ad since the first day it was posted, and today he put down his hard earned money on it and drove it home. Sorry to Cody59, he did not "steal" the car from you. He has been searching for one of these for quite some time, as I had one back in the day, and he always wanted one. We went and looked at it and drove it home today. It was a fantastic deal for a survivor 29 year old RX7, and I am proud of him for recognizing a good deal. The seller is a solid guy and the price is right for what it is and all the spare parts it came with, etc. A word of advice, don't wait around for good deals on these when they are in good shape and have an honest seller who discloses as well as this seller did. My son will be registering and posting soon I am sure for advice on all sorts of things as this will be his first "rotary" experience. I already warned him about the cold nature of these beasts in Minnesota weather speaking from experience, but it was fun to follow him home today, like a trip in the wayback machine. I had a first gen 82 RX7 in silver with black interior back in the day. Bought it when it was a mere 4 year old car....yes, I am getting old. Ha. Anyway, wanted to stop the bashing and share in the love of all on here who adore these great old Mazda sports cars! Peace

Well I hope the car will be a good one for your son, that's a nice first car and a great deal.
Cody man don't take it so hard, you did it to your self, you just have to learn the hard way. If you see something you like and is a deal get it then, don't wait our you'll regret it. Trust me I've been in the same boat, that's how I learned you can't wait for every one to tell you what they think you should do.if it's what you want get it.if you don't well this happens, life's a garden dig it.

Yep wasn't me Cody. I actually just wanted the wheels. This was a good life lesson for you though. Next time you want something, go for it. Whether it's a girl or a car, cause if you don't someone else will!

Hey this is very uncomfortable but just want to set things straight. No way I was buying it to take it from you at all. I bought the car to buy a 1985 RX7, like my dad said this was a car similar to his and we wanted a project car for the summer before i leave for college. I know how you feel I had the same situation for a couple 280z is was looking at. I saw this thread while my Dad and I were driving to see it. Like all these users there will be another one, there are RX7 being posted daily for great deals. I hope we can continue our love for RX7 on even ground and hopefully cruise sometime.

Peace, Zach

yeah Cody59, it wasn't my son who posted that. He saw a good deal and went for it. That's it. He will be registering soon on here though, because I know he will want to extract great advice from all the wise users on here who are here to encourage and support. It is a hard lesson, yes, but not ill intent for you at all. These forum guys (and gals?) were trying to tell you it was a good deal and to go for it. When it comes to classic cars like this, and searching out a good deal on a used car, you have to learn to trust your gut and just go for it. There will be other deals on here and craigslist, there always are. Just hang in there, the right one will come along and you will jump on it sooner from your experience here. Trust these guys here, they know what they are talking about. Good luck to you buddy, no hard feelings.
