Can't Keep her!!
I went out to look at my Original Owner 79 Limited Rx...I have been babying since i saw it roll off the truck 25 plus years ago. I got to take the plastic off the door panals and watch them detail it for me. 110k miles.
I started restoring it for the last time recently..Inside and out...removing all paint etc..nearly finished the inside..new tires, exhaust, engine.. mechanically everything is practically silver and new..........then i injured myself.....fell down some stairs..new replaced hip & broken leg..very long recovery..car sat.
I got it to start, but i wanted to have carb gone over. so bought a kit and had it removed..then it sat again under a cover. Paint is still all spotty from removing coats of old paint.
I bought a second earliest edition 79. Red nearly perfect body to use as parts car. The car was so nice i decided not to use it..Body is awesome..not a spec of rust and very few blemishes. Car also started but ran poorly.
OK....I can't clutch any longer....can't drive my car..and dont want to finish restoring it or look at it.
I am in Atlanta area and am interested in seeing both cars gone asap. Also includes many 85 parts..wheels hatch..door panals..everything good i could take off an 85.

Well that's unhappy news KC. You might try listing it on this forum under the section that has cars and parts for sale. Then again, maybe you need to think about this for a few days, you might change your mind when you've more fully recovered. Or perhaps use the 79's (a highly desirable year, I understand) as barter towards one of those 7's with the automatic transmissions, not most people's first choice but no clutch and they are usually in real good shape. Anyway, sorry to here things are not working out for your long time friend.

Wow. Original owner too. I'd have pangs for the rest of my life if I sold a car like that..
Don't do it KC!! Hit the physical therapy hard and get back on restoring that puppy!!!

I'm sad to hear you've gotta get rid of your car. However, there is a part I'm looking for that is only on the '79 limiteds that I was wondering if you'd sell. I just need the "limited' emblem that goes behind the windows. Would you be willing to sell me one or both of those? I'd buy the car, but the emblem is the only thing I need. Please respond to Zero5360@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Like Ray said, would you be interested in an automatic 1st gen down the road?
