Can someone tell the difference??

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two 81-85 12a rebuild kits? I cant tell whats different about them the racing one is cheaper??

The racing kit will have carbon-aluminum apex seals, which are cheaper and handle high RPM better, but have poor low-RPM sealing and very short life compared to stock.

the seals are ideal for something like a bridge or a perpherial port engine,
because the engine doesnt last long anyway.

The reason they don't last long is because of the race apex seals But you can't run the iron ones unless you keep RPM below a certain level.
