Can my 2 gen starter be used on my 1st gen
I believe that someone has made a post about this in the past, either that or it was a 1st gen starter going on a 2nd gen, but either way SEARCH for it and you might find it. I know that there is something out there about it. Its something like "In case you didnt know" or something like that i believe.

t2 starter I doubt it, but I know one from a 85 12A will work on an 88 vert, if you drill the threads out of the starter from the 85
I beleive I posted that, I know that the t2 starter looks way different from an N/A one

He won't need to drill anything because it'll be going into a 1st gen. I fit a 2nd gen NA starter on my 1st gen tranny with a longer bolt and extra nut.
Pops, you'll need the NA style starter because the TII might not work (different ring gear).
