I am not an expert in suspension geometry, so I'm trying to figure out where I should set my camber at. I don't want to wear out my tires too much, but I want to get the most out of my handling. What's a good compromise for, say, 90% street 10% track?

What top mounts / supspension set up do you currently have?

90% street. Stock settings to .5 Degree more.
10% race, You need tire pyrometer numbers to know for sure.

Can I get those numbers at an alignment shop or something? Or is it something I'd get from the tire manufacturer?

Download the FSM for the stock camber numbers.

For pyrometer numbers you need a........Pyrometer.

Taking tire temp values at the outside, middle and inside of the tire will tell you what camber to run. Hotter inside needs less camber. Hotter outside needs more.

is it the Re Speed coilover kit? i have noltec top mounts HP blues and S/L king springs but im after a simular stance to what you have

No. The Beeline camber plates came with front coilover mounts that I welded on. I don't believe they are made anymore. The shocks are Koni yellows with 350 lb ISC springs. The camber is currently maxed

Beeline no longer exist, but I made contact with the owner a few weeks back, he said he still have a few set of those camber plate for sale. It is great quality.

Rusty, how did you find koni yellows for the front?

Which kit? They have one that is welded onto the strut housing, and one that sits on the factory spring perch. Obviously, the one you weld on can go as low as you want. The other will be limited by the size of the spring. You'd have to find someone who owns one of those kits for the answer to that one.

What is your reason for wanting it so low?

Bingo, Rusty has it correct. If you stick with our suggested 7" long x up to 250# springs you will not have a problem getting it low.

so the non welded kit for the s3 with up 250 rate springs will do the job thanks guys
im in the uk and the car is only driven at weekends / track days, i have 18's on it and wouldn't want to go that low but it would be good to have the option to for show days etc whilst having the aplity to set it up for a track, can the rear kit drop the same?

if you are worried about tire wear you should really be more concered about toe out which gives you alot more tire wear than the camber. but if you use the car for track days and auto-x only 10% of the time you can just set the camber to the factory settings when you are on the street.
