if the company making the custom wheels can't work with offset, then they suck ***.

I gave www.ccwheel.com those numbers and they said no problem.

My rear wheels have a 4-1/2" backspace, and there is like 2" of clearance from the strut.

i have to go, I'll help you out later.

I've been trying to get the numbers for my Pacific kit w/ no luck. Where are you getting your wheels? I went to HRE 1st but they didn't fit AT ALL. Sent them back once w/ corrections but came back still fucked up. Sent photos too w/ a ruler showing how may inches needed to be brought out to fender. Sounded simple to add 3 inches out. Lots of money down the tubes not to mention shipping. I have 2 college degrees & can do the math. Why is this so hard?

i got it figured out..

The company I am getting my wheels from deals only in backspace.. I agree that they should be able to adapt to offset..

But then again, what have you paid for your wheels?

I am getting Steel wheels for now.. I have to get this car on the road.. as a daily driver... ASAP>>> so i can get back to my RX-3 resto.

The wheels I ordered are:
Front:
Size: 15x8
Backspace: 4"
Rear:
Size: 15x10
Backspace: 4 1/2"

Price for all 4 shipped:
$410.72

All my other cars have rays wheels on them.. I figure i can go cheaper this one time..

If i keep this car I will likely order a set of Kodiacs down the Road..

Thanks for all your help!!!

Hey snap-shot.
AIM me or e-mail me your pics.. I can show you what i did to figure mine out..

for the pacific kit front is 15x7 rear is 15x9 4 inch back spacing all around on non gslse. per pacific the inside lip of the body kit around the wheel will need to be trimed to prevent contact with the tire when suppension travels. on my car I run 15x8.5 on rear and I always wished I went for the 15x9 on the rear. I run 245/50/15 tires on rear and 215/50/15 on front. my front wheels are same as the rears but my kit has been modified for them being wider. I will most likey run spacers to fill in the space

But are'nt the chassis still the same? Is the GSL-SE rear axle wider?

I would have to disagree with that statement. Offset is a bullshit measurement since it always changes with rim width, backspacing is an absolute measurement, offfset is relative. All the custom wheel builders I've talked to like to use backspacing since the rim NEEDS to clear the suspension components. If your car needs 4" back spacing you say, I need a 4" backspacing and a XX wide rim. Seems so much easier to deal with, especially since rim widths in the states are in inches and offset is in metric.

God damn, now I have to devide by 2, multiply by 25.4 and add, then subtract, multiply by the square root of pi and subtract sales tax since I'm buying out of state.....

Offset sucks, backspacing rules.

Sorry for the rant.

It's the brake rotors that are different, also more meaty, are studded, and have more offset.

your rear fenders look wider than mine...

I went with the same 4.5" Backspacing.. but got 10" rears.
When i measure from the hub to the outside line of the rear fender I get 5-3/8"

from the way your 12" width are fitting your fenders would be 1.5-2" wider than mine..

I'll post pics ASAP.

I ordered the wheels un-finished to save time.. I'm going to paint the centers white to match the car..

and polish the **** out of the lips..

I cannot wait..
