how loud?

okay guys here is the deal. i installed the carb today weber 45 side. still working out the bugs but any way no i have noticed my exhuast is really restrictive and i have a hole in my muffler (130kmiles) so im looking to cheap alternatives to buying somthing like a full racingbeat exhuast im trying to go turbo this summer so itd be a waste of cash to buy the header now unless i got it real cheap i live in ky so no emissions so i though about cutting off the cats and putting the connector pipe up to the exhuast manifold and running a straight pipe that curves out to the side before the rear tire. how loud do ya think this would be? any sound bites would be great as well as info on your setups.

Too loud.

I have 2.5 inch pipe from the turbo back, with two resonators and one straight through muffler. Don't forget a turbo has some quieting effect as well, and I;ve got about 104db at 4000rpm. It gets annoying after a half hour of cruising. When you're actually driving with a purpose it's good though!

Your suggested setup would be louder still, so i'd imagine you'd get sick of it pretty quick.

I'd probably save your money until you've done your turbo swap, then work on a good exhaust once that's done.
