Build Sheets?

Does anyone know how to obtain one for your car, or if Mazda even keeps them? I'm just curious... Or does anyone know where its location would be in the car?

I've just disassembled my junker 85 to the last bolt and there was no build sheet anywhere.

a build sheet is basicaly a 'purchase order' it tells you what was on the car as far as options , trim and anyting else that the factory would have done to the car prior to leaving the factory . they were real popular in american cars , on a couple cougars i had they were under the gas tank and under the seat (in the spings) awsome things to have if you do a Concourse quality resto.

Hmm... Maybe because our cars where already seperated into pretty clear trim levels with fairly specific options the car didn't have them? I don't know, maybe search my thread about car history and then ask one of the guys in the thread that are the original owner.

i've never seen one. i'm sure they were used by mazda at some point. i have a hard enough time finding a window sticker, let alone a build sheet.

I have a window sticker, it pretty much covers everything. I was just wondering if anyone had ever contacted Mazda in some way to see if they would still have records like that. Not that the 7 I have now will ever be "factory" stock, but I wouldnt mind sometime down the road keeping one completely original.

The guy I talked to at Mazda USA said that they don't keep records like that past 5 or 6 years... but they are sending me a couple free zoom-zoom stickers
