Hey

So it fell off again and I push it back on....snap........

F___..........

So I call Mazda of Thousand Oaks........Do they still have these in stock? Yes..........$6.99.......

Have to order them though............So I will give it a shot.........Will be cool to have a new clear one...........

i have never had one that ISNT broken. they are always broken in my cars.

Yeah mine just fell off one day and I can't never get it to stay in place. It'll just pop back off on the next bump I hit in the road.

I just put a strip of that black foam house weatherstripping stuff along the front edge. With the lense in place it provides tension to hold everything still but won't pop out.

I think that they all break. Two of my friends have 7's an they are broke in thiers and mine was broke too. I found a good one in a wreaking yard. Got the whole review mirror assembly with the unbroken lens for $15. I got really lucky on that.

Yea, those covers are probably the worst dome light design I've ever seen in my life... What was mazda thinking?

I have 3 cars with no broken lenses...But I know that they are a common problem, I guess I was just lucky, lol.

mine fell off when i hit a nice BIG bump and my friend jammed it back on the wrong way which broke it even more..
so now i have nothing..

Actually it's not the dome light lense that is the problem.

Yes it is getting broken, but the fault really lies with the rear view mirror. If there is slop in the install for the mirror, it pushes down on the lense and breaks it.

Tighten up the screws and rivets and use a tiewrap to keep the mirror held up correctly. That should keep the weight up off the lense.
