I'm wanna buy a set of tires off this guy. But i don't know if the four lug pattern is the same. He's selling me a set from an 88 4 lug. So do they match up or do i keep looking.

NO.

12a cars have a 4x110mm bolt pattern, GSL-SE has a 4x114.3 bolt pattern, as does the 4 bolt second gens.

So, they will not fit a 12a car, they will fit a -SE.

The 2nd Gens have the same bolt patern as the 1st gen GSL-SE's (4x114.3)
But ALL other 1st gens have 4x110 and will not fit...

All other north American ones, you mean.
Overhere we didn't get GSL-SE's, but our 12A powered 1984-85 models did have the suspension, brakes and dash uprates from the GSL-SE. So we have those 4x114.3 bolt patterns (on 12A 84-85). Therefor our second gens have 5 lug bolt patterns, so doesn't help much either...

Prove it to yourself. pull a wheel off, and see if the 2ed gen wheel fits.
