Bring back the 205/60R13, get free stuff

Are you looking for a 205/60r13 tire?

Do you know someone who is?

Please help circulate this thread through every forum or mailing list you know of where there is demand. This cant be a one man job. Let us know what forums you cross posted this to!

In the USA our options are Chinese produced tires, race tires or an overpriced tire from Holland.

There are alternatives, but none are available for US sale. I have contacted several tire suppliers and all have said if the companies make them available we will stock them.

So it's up to us to show demand. Lets see if the power of the internet makes a difference.

I have called BFgoodrich and they stated that enough people call or email something might happen. They still produce the Radial T/A tire for the Mexican market.

BF Goodrich

Call 1-877-788-8899

8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (M-F) 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Sat.) (Eastern Time)

or use their online form.

Contact BFG | BFGoodrich Tires

They will even send you free stickers!!!

I contact one or two makers every week asking about 205 60 13, and on twitter bug them about it too. More voices may indeed get results.

Did they give you an idea of what amount of people need to contact them before they would consider it? I have resigned myself to the fact I will probably have to run the Federal 595 tire for the Legends race class. But I would love a good street tire in 205/60/13's.

Thats what these are. The classic T/A. specs on the bottom of the page.

Radial T/A | Llantas BFGoodrich

They did not say how much demand they needed, but BFG was the only company I contacted that said they would consider it.

Considering there are authorized dealers of these tires less than 10 miles from the border, it is possible to get BFG themselves to bring them in.

Please help me cross post this to other forums.

If they are only made for the Mexican market, they likely won't be DOT rated.

If the factory has a DOT number its likely that any tire made there is DOT rated. BFG informed me that the tire is not imported due to lack of demand, not lack of DOT.

Speculation doesn't help this happen. Action does.
