bridge port needs

I was thinking street port, but screw it while the motor is in peices I mind as well put in the best, but this raises a few questions. According to the research I've done it seems that my motor will peak above 9k rpm with a BP and I was wondering what's required to make it so my motor can handle the high rpms. I checked racing beat and they sell various "race parts for over 9k RPM" but would they be necessary?

Yes, they will be necessary if you want your engine to last. Why else would they sell them? If I were you, and if you don't have the money for the extra parts, just do a street port.

a bridge port isnt necessarily the best. think about how you use the car on a daily basis b4 you decide which to go with. from what ive read bridgeported rx7's lose alot of streetability.
theres alot of good stuff on porting at nopistons.com and at yawpower.com in the tech articles.

I know I would probably be satisfied with a SP but I thought of going with the bridge because I was afraid it would be one of those things I wish I did while the motor was outta the car. A SP will give me alot of power, I was just afraid of being left wanting more. I knew about the streetablity issues of the bridge, but since my car isn't a daily I don't think it'll matter that much

Backwards.

A street port is still very driveable but it's kinda soft down low and in the midrange.

A bridge port has poor drivability but it pulls like a freight train from about 2k on up. And up. And up...

Saying "bridge ports peak out over 9k" is kind of a misnomer. There's almost no peak. Some circuit racers in Australia are reportedly using 12k shiftpoints. How high do you want to rev it?

Rally guys tend to keep it under 8500 so they can use stock apex seals, which last a long time especially in dusty environment. Mazda's vaunted 787B was raced with an 8000rpm shiftpoint. Huge RPM is just not a necessity.

I regret not bridging mine, but keep in mind it's only driven for pleasure and race. I only drive it maybe twice a week, 3 times if i wanna spoil myself. It never sees snow and hardly ever sees rain (only if by accident). For a daily driver I would streetport.
