You got to vary your driving patterns too, you know dont keep doing the same old same old, Change it up go to differnt RPM on different days and time, Not REDLINE'n it!
Ahhh But What the Hell:
Thats just what Ive heard and seen other people do. I on the other hand ran it for about 100 miles and was hittin 8k the next day! Still got 110 compression after a year!! But back thn I was young, dumb, full of ***! lol

But anyways, as per breaking the car in, I've heard to vary your driving, normally, no hot *******, up to about 1500 miles. After that, you should be good to go. But, then again, this is on a crate V8, and how they suggested it. To make sure all parts, bearings, seals, etc are settled correctly. But, since the rotary has only 3 moving parts, you might not have to go so high. I'd say just take it easy for the first month.

Please. You and what army? I got a clean alternator that says it'll whoop you with it's less drag coefficient.
aarons: Is this a brand new rebuilt motor in your 7? 12A or 13B?

I put 1000 miles on my 12A Street Port Brand New Enging from Mazdatrx before I put it on the dyno....
My Mechanic told me that between 500 to 1000 miles would be okay. I preferred to wait until 1k....
Works like a champ....

Here's how I'm doing mine after many suggestions from this forum. First 1000 miles, keep it under 3000 rpm, and no boost. Next 200 miles, keep it under 4000 rpm, and no boost. Next 200 miles, keep it under 5000 rpm, and no boost. Then, let 'er rip!
I have about 1270 miles on it right now, so I'm getting close to being able to get on it a little bit. I've had it up to 5 k a few times...sounds great!

But I never heard it in any songs, It is a saying my dad always said to me when I would say stuff about girls at school and stuff

Terrified.
I'm not a fan of Pig's new stuff, I'm much more of a fan of the early nineties stuff. I used to be a really hardcore industrial buff, but it seems that recently its all Pig, Skinny Puppy, and Ministry for the industrial category.
As far as the break in process, I say drive it for 1,000 miles without getting onto it and you're good to go.
