hmmm
Well if it is a GSL it has disk brakes on all four corners. It it is not a GSL it has disks on front and drums on the rear. If the badging is missing, then take the rear wheels off and look. If you see a disk and caliper it is disks, of course. If you see a rusty drum it is drums. You might even be able to peer through the wheel to get the answer.
As for a tutorial your best off to use the search function.

It would be a good idea for you to read the FAQ forum.
This question and the one about the tires could easily be found by a little reading.
Also recommend that you either download a copy of the FSM (see my signature) or buy a Haynes manual for reference.

Wow like 3 of the identical posts by the doc. all good and informative though.
Definetly start reading up. Get the FSM and i ALSO recommend getting a Haynes, like 14 bucks on ebay.
Stuff like this you can simply go outside and look at your car. If its a disc, you can see a disc, if its a drum you cant. Almost no (none that i can think of) cars have front drum brakes.

I figured some did but all the cars ive owned had front discs.
Come to think of it, the 63 lincoln continental might have front drums, but i cant be sure as its still in the shop collecting dust, and have never really had any interest in taking it out and dropping 20+k$ into a restoration.
As for any others I'm but a young lad lol
