brake master cylinder question

can a master cyl from a 1984 with non-power brakes be used temporarily (just to get the car home) on a 1985 with power brakes?

yeah you're cool. I ran 84/85 front and rear gsl-se brakes on my 82' GS for several months with the stock master that originaly powered rear drums. The backs might lockup a bit easier thats all.
