braided oil line

Does anyone know if anyone makes a steel braided oil like that goes from the beehive oil cooler to the front of the engine? I want to replace the steel POS the damn thing has broken on my 3 times now!

AFAIK, no one makes SS lines for the beehive oil cooler. If you really want the SS lines, you're going to have to get the air to oil cooler from a second gen or '79-82 first gen. The bonus is that the old style cooler is much better at keeping the oil temps down.

Yeah nobody makes the lines for the behive, because any person who wanted to do oil performance mods would ditch that thing.

I suppose if your hell bent on keeping the bee hive, you could make your own lines.

Yeah.. I eventually want to get the air cooled one but total it will cost about 250 - 300 to get the lines and the cooler.. I was hoping for maybe a 40 - 50 quick fix....

Advance autoparts sells a real nice and small oil cooler which comes with a fan. I saw it here on the forum a while back. Try a search and maybe you'll get lucky and find the thread.

I bought a sweet oil cooler for another car for $30 from Advance Auto Parts, it didn't have the fan but still, it worked excellent, I'm going to get anohter one for the 7 once I get another filter neck (guess that's what ya call it)
