Bolt In Direct Fire Ignition System *progress*
OK this thread is to help keep the p.m's at bay.
2 out of the 4 systems are complete minus 2 stupid little parts that are on back order.
But heres all the latest info on the 3 boxes that will most likely be sold.
1st system *Flameworks Lite*
-Specs
4Wx6Lx1.5H enclosed unit
4Wx6Lx4H Total size
-Features
1x IG-204 2in1 Ignitor
1x 6330 2in1 Coil
Aluminum casing for improved heat disapation
Water resistant encloser (no need to fear getting it wet)
Plug and Play installation ( only a phillips screw driver is needed to remove your old J-109 ignitor and a power screwdriver to mount the unit, All connnectors on wires come preinstalled)
Included
ALL wiring, plugs, mounting screws, everything needed to convert your ignition system to direct fire
New wiring from distributor to DFIS
Complete color diagrams and install photos showing every step of the way
Estimated install time 10-15 min

5Wx7Lx3H enclosed unit
6Wx7Lx3H Total size
-Features
1x IG-203 2in1 Ignitor
2x Wells ignition modules (optional)
2x 6320 Coils
Aluminum casing for improved heat disapation
Water resistant encloser (no need to fear getting it wet)
Seperate power system (less strain on distributor and increased current to coils)
Built in reverse polarity protection with circuit breaker
Power on led
Instant off cut system (no engine run on, msd users where having a problem with this)
Plug and Play installation
Included
ALL wiring, plugs, mounting screws, everything needed to convert your ignition system to direct fire
New wiring from distributor to DFIS
Complete color diagrams and install photos showing every step of the way
Estimated install time 30-45 min
3rd system *Hell Fire*
Basically this is the system I am designing for my car but I shoved it to the side to get these kits done.
It will be much like the *Flameworks* system but with an additional coil & ignitor for the trailing ignition (basically an all in 1 ignition system).
The Wells ignitors will be standard.
And their will be a few more features such as 3 leds to indicate each ignitor is operating correctly.
4th system *QLI Kilo Jolt*
Im sure the first thing you noticed about this one is the "QLI" before the name.
If you guessed Quad Leading Ignitor you guessed correct.
This system will feature Quad leading ignitors and Quad leading coils.
Special plug wires will have to used and will be included.
Hold on a sec im not done.
The unit will also feature its own DTI trailing system.
Dual Trailing ignitors firing Dual Trailing Coils.
1 coil will fire to the leading section of the distributor which will run T1 plug on the L1 section of the distributor while the other fires into the trailing section of the distributor Firing the T2 plug on the T2 section of the distributor.
-okay that might be a tad excessive, maybe I wont do the DTI section
This system might not even be for sale but I just designed it and decided to build it as the "Be All End All" Direct fire igntion system.

I still need to add up all the parts to produce them.
I will try to keep the price as low as possible on the lowest unit so more people can easily jump into a direct fire system in as little as 10 minutes under the hood.
The Flameworks unit will be a bit more because it uses alot more parts, but the Flame works unit will hands down out perform an MSD system which costs over $200
$149.88 MSD 6a box
$28.95 x2 MSD Blaster 2 coils
But the Flameworks system will be much less then the MSD setup.

I got some Nascar ones when I did the 13B2000 DLIDFIS install. I don't remember what the parent company was called. Heh, it could have been Wells.
They sparked so 'well' on Bosch/Hanshin/Diamonds (whatever OEM coils the PO had installed during the 13B swap) that one ill fitting spark plug boot would allow a spark to occasionally jump to the hex part of the plug when the engine was free reved to like 5 or 6k. It had BUR7EQ in leading which have longer porcelain than 1st gen plugs. It was a long healthy spark.
