Blue Smoke!!! Please Help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 85 rx7 has been running great but the other day it began to blow smoke out of the exhaust pipe. I checked all the fluid and its fine, and there are no leaks anywhere. The car is completely stock with a 1.1 liter motor and original carb.
The smoke does have a really strong odor. Can ANYONE help me?????

Blue smoke ehhh...sounds like oil burning. Does it smell like oil?

If so, some how oil has made it's way into your combustion chamber, possibly as mentioned oil control seals, but there may be other possibilities.

More details. Under what conditions is it smoking, rpms, accelleration, decelleration, all the time? Also, check your oil level, you didn't overfill it did you?

What other possibilities will allow oil into combustion chamber?

Dont think so. Its seems like the oil rings are shot but running down the list of possibilties is hopeful/wishful thinking. Sorry w/o seeing the smoke and details its tough to know for sure. Good luck!
