You might be able to get a brass plug for the injector bosses.

You could put the injectors, rail and holdown back in the injector bungs, just plug both fuel rail ends. That should confuse everyone who looks at the engine.

LOL. Do that and run a line from it to somewhere they can't see. Tell'em you're running methanol injection or something.

hey keep it up though man. I just got my 48dcoe up and running. wideband is being hooked up right now. 12a (lil bigger than stock port???). I am running the msd pump also. mine is running pig rich(black smoke) hard starts, and locked dist.

I am going to set timing tommorow. how can you tell if your dist needs set back or forth a tooth, we need a new "locked dist install for dummies" thread. The old pics are down I am going to make the marks tonight.

keep up the good work though, welcome to the wonderful world of carbs also

If I pop this motor I have a FI 85 300zxturbo engine with the adapter to put in my baja.

Welp I've been running webers for over 7 years this is my first blowthrough setup and info is really locked down on this topic. Even the books I have have no info for blowthrough applications except boxing the whole carb and FPR. I allready fix the pug problem. It's just a lean issue right now. It's lean at cruise and under large loads. a.k.a. up hills. It's great at full throttle.

For your timing for dummies-- When you install the dizzy if you cant get your timing to where you want it after locking it. say your trying to goto 15 degrees advanced, and when you rotate the dizzy it will only goto say 8 degrees. Take it out and move it a tooth check the timing again. if the timing is retarded you moved the tooth the wrong way. If its in the window of your 15 degrees congrats timing for dummies has worked for you.

It's running good now I figured out what the problem was. The place I ordered my jets from sent me 65 F8's instead of 65 f9's hense the shitty lean problem I put my 60f9's back in and it runs awesome now. Once I get some more money I'll get some REAL 65f9's. LOL Arseholes!

Nope LOL my mistake for sure! They were cheaper though. I guess not in the long run since I bought garbage I allready had. Now I've got two useless sets of 65f8's.

Mine runs great. Damn near perfect really. Just it spits and sputters afrom 3000-3400 Don't know why, but what evva. Kinda annoying at freeway cruise, so i figure I can get a n/a FC tranny and cure that. LOL!

the sputtering is your emulsion tube, its either rich or lean in that specific rpm range.. try a smaller air jet, it might fix your problem.. glad you finally got it running good tho...

Shweed. Is there anywhere you know of that I can read up on e-tubes? I can't find anything I know exactly what they do, just don't know how the numbering system works. Its funny how the bigger the number the more fuel in jets, but on the F size in idle jets the bigger the number the smaller the air bleed. LOL!
