blocking off omp
i am running premix, and all i did to block off the omp is with a vacum hose that goes from one outlet to the other outlet, tying them together. is this satisfactory?

No.
Two reasons. Rubber vacuum hose isn't meant to take oil. It will degrade and start to leak, given time. And #2 is that since both outlets are pumping oil *out*, and there's nowhere for the oil to go, it will build up pressure, and I don't know how much pressure either the vacuum hose can take, or the OMP can take before leaking.
If your OMP works, why block it off? $20 and you can rebuild it to make sure it works perfectly and never have to worry about premixing.
And if you want to block the OMP off completely, remove it, remove the little drive-thingy that turns it and install a blockoff plate.

well there you go. i don't think the pressure would be enough to do anything. i just worried mostly about whether or not it might get "backed up" or something or cause other problems

I dont think this came out right
Im pretty sure the carb has the loop, and the other are no attached? its been a while since i looked at it. come to think of it, maybe this is the big leak we cant track down.

you cant see the coin you rtv it to the inside of the OPM..you have to pull the little gear out of it than it leaves a hole the same size as a penny...rtv it and your done...dont have to make a block off plate you just bolt the OPM back to the side of the motor and nothing spins and it cant suck in OIL and it only cost a penny and you dont need any tools or skill to do it

So you can just put a block off plate leaving the shaft that turns the omp in the front cover right? It won't hurt anything having that shaft spin against the block off plate?
