Acid should take the rust off, but are you planning on having them rechromed?

Chrome will look good, as long as the engine is never started. lol Try some stainless steel polish. I didn't realize you had the RB ones in your PM.

best thing to do is have it blasted and then powder coated with a chrome like finish. u can check out the eastwood.com site for THEIR color choices. companys that do powder coating may have other choices.

Powdercoat will not hold up, the standard ones begin to soften at 250*. Some of the ceramics will not hold to the heat of a rotary exhaust either. Coating needs to be rated at 2000*. In that range, there are no shiney ones that I have found.

If the coating is applied, it needs to be done on the inside, or both inside and outside. The coating is for heat modulation, not bling.

Header wrap = trapped moisture, trapped moisture = rusted header

As hot as our headers get I dont think moister stands a chance. Besides a bought headers from a buddy who had his wrapped and they held up beautifully, NO rust! I just bought new wrap and they look better than ever!

I am going to have my turbo mani ceramic coated on the inside and some kind of powder coat on the outside.

Unless you are dealing with a stainless steel header, you are wasting your time, steel will never stay polished up due to heat and moisture. Btw, acid and eat/etch metal, then you will have that much more polishing to do.
