BLEEDING wasn't hard!!!!

I completed a CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER change up in 3 hours... it would have been 45 mins... but had to do something else too.... I did it one person bleeding job.... my clutch feels STRONGER than ever....

Don't forget SOCAL members meet up at Parking Lot C on Museum.... Can't wait to see y'all.... the last time I showed up.... my BROTHER drove me in his 1999 CIVIC EX.... so embarrassed.... finally.... my GSL-SE is Environmentally friendly...... but I won't be able to cruise with y'all.... gas is expensive for a college student....

I'm not a member.
And bleeding something is no problem. As long as there are no leeches involved!

Yeah, my friend Michel and I looked at the clutch on the old car... it stuck to the floor when you pushed it.. we checked the fluid, the disc had been changed 4 years ago so we're like "alrighty, let's change the master clutch cyl!"

so we did.. and it popped up and worked... three, four pumps... then it lost pressure again.... so it was *half* working.. so back to the partyard we go. Get a rebuild release cyl too, change THAT.... two days, finally got the clutch...

And it still won't run because of the carb problems! wish me luck guys, if my godfather doesn't hold out on me this weekend, I will be rebuilding the carb all sunday... after that it's installation, brakes, gas, coolant and trying to get it saftied!

GOOD LUCK!!! Make sure the Slave cylinder bleeding nipple is tightly closed.... and the metal connection that connects the master cylinder to the slave is tight.... It'll leak fluid if not....

One time I stupidly replaced the clutch master cyl and it turned out the little footlong hose was leaking. Lot's easier to replace the hose IF you dope it out right in the first place.

VB sells a littel pump thing that lets you do one man bleeding. if you want to spend the money on it.

or you could do:

Pumpx10 > jam a peice of wood in there to hold the pettal down

I've done it with the board, too.

I think there's also an aftermarket bleed valve replacement with a builtin checkvalve. But who needs it, if you've got a 2x4 handy, or a jar and hose?
