I am currently using them and also have a 2nd gen leading coil. Not sure if I am gonna keep the blaster 2s or go with the 2nd gen coil right now. Also thought about DLIDFIS with 3 blaster 2s. Too many decisions and my car needs a muffler so for me, I am leaving it the way it is for now. Seemed to idle a bit better and not flood out as much when cold with the blaster 2s.

I've used them, they get better spark than stock. Recommended.

Oh! I wouldn't bother to use them on trailing ignition. Either get one for the leading ignition or one for each spark plug if you so desire.

When you order the MSD Coils make sure there the High Vibration Blaster Coils. Part # MSD-8222 Blaster HVC @ $44.88ea.
Alot more Voltage and Less OHMS and can be Mounted in the Stock Locations.
Multi mounting positions so the Oil does not leak out of them after time.
Trust me on this one. Other members will tell you that it does not matter. I'm sure someone will tell me (BullShit).

Give MSD a call and unless the less expensive Coils are Mounted Vertical you will Void the Warranty and end up with Oil leaking out of them. $6.00 Bucks More and never have to worry about them.

Way to post right after he orders them lol

But steve is right, they are engineered to be mounted standing up, but I am sure alot of people have mounted them in the stock location with no problems. Since you have already ordered them, I wouldnt worry about it.

Its one of those things I say: "Its in the past, and aint shyt I can do about it now!"

Edit: To those in doubt of Steve statment read here. http://www.msdignition.com/forum/sho...g+blaster+coil

I saw some really nice mounting brackets for coils. I want to say maybe ReSpeed (could be wrong but they have nice stuff anyways). Either way there is a mount for 2 coils or for 3 if you do the DLIDFIS.

Yup, ReSpeed offers the coil brackets, in 2 or 3 coil setup.

ReSpeed offers them, but they dont actually have them to sell. They sold out along time ago apparently, and have never restocked. I've been checking their site every week for a looong time.
I'm not dissing ReSpeed, they have lots of neat stuff that I want. I read a rumor that they might have a steering upgrade solution for 1st gens in the works. Again, I wait patiently.

And while I'm here in the MSD coil thread, How do they compare to the Jacobs coils?
