a bit off topic, but...

I wanted to share with you guys.

Here's a link to my latest conquest .

In an effort to make it fit in w/the 1gen forum, I'm amazed at how similiar my 79 RX-7 and the Miata are. You can deffinately feel the same spirit in both cars. It really is as if the Miata is simply a newer version of the 1gen.

Right now, I'd say that my 1gen handles a bit better (certainly corners flatter) than my Miata, but then again, I've done quite a bit of suspension work to the 7 and the Miata is completely stock. That said, the Miata isn't too far out from my 7 -- and I don't have to worry about any snap oversteer.

Believe it or not, I think the Miata pulls slightly harder, and certainly has a flatter torque curve, than my 7 (which has a mild street port, RB header, 2.5" exhaust to an RB muffler), but I think I have a couple issues holding my power back a bit in the 7 and, once I get those ironed out, will be achieving the full potential of the motor.

All in all, I think the cars complement each other nicely, and I look forward into modding the Miata and turning it into a nice sleeper hehe.

Anyway, here's the link: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=120419

But back the the topic: cool

Back off topic: There is a white miata that, the owner works down the street from me amd every work day around 3 in the after noon he runs it as hard as he can to the corner... and with just that.. I KNOW he can spank my stock rx7 when it runs...LOL

Peace

My Dad has a 91 miata that i drive frequently. Hes done work to the suspension. KYB adjustable struts, 15x7 borbet's, and some of the toughest strut bars a ever seen. It steers 200% better than my FB. But i think the 7 pulls just a little harder. Or maybe it just feels like it. He just bought a newer miata engine thats getting the flying miata turbo treatment. So, im going to have to do some work to keep up with it.

See? See? I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Ditto. My friend, who I have just recently started to hang out with more, drives a 1992 black Miata. Ive driven it around and I really kinda like it. It handles well, and its got some definate power to it . Im gonna be helping him mod it and what not, so it should be interesting to see what happenes .

"It began with RX-7".

Anything after a 1978 first gen is just following in the footsteps of perfection.
