Bilstein shocks ?
Ok, I have picked up a pair of Bilsteins for my rear end, they have this number on the body. 4060218h001. Are these adjustable? what are they comparable to? can anybody help me out here?
I also have Tokico Illuminas for the rear and want to know which are better for performance driving, every instinct tells me the Bilsteins but the Tokicos are adjustable...

Hmm if you can't find them then maybe they're Koni's with Blistein upgrades.
Oh and snap! Oh well, I still have a while to go before my stockers fade away into nothingness, a long while.

If you race with high spring rates, Illuminatas will wear out and los their damping ability pretty quickly. Bilsteins can be a little more durable, but need to be valved for your specific springs. What spring rates are you running, and what color Bilsteins are you trying to use?

They are yellow, and unless they adjust via the top like Konis they don't seem to be adjustable, haven't purchased spring yet, going to make a coil over set up for the back, probably going around 400lb front and 200lb rear though. I like the rear a little soft to get good grip at launch, but it is an autocross, HPDE car.

Hmmm, those do look like the Koni Yellows that were modded for Blisteins. Although who makes them that way escapes me right now.
400/200 sounds good as long as it isn't a street car. While I was riding with Peejay he has 200/200 and it was a little rough, and he thinks so himself, too.

Cool, got Koni reds for the front, should work out nicely, any more spring and I'd have to go to the Koni Yellow which means a modified strut.
Do you think these are adjustable via the top like the reds? they have the flattened tip.

Hell if I know.
All my experience comes from reading articles on here and elsewhere. That and calling up stores to haggle prices for the mere sake of "I'll plan on buying them next year"

never seen adjustable Bilstein's. They are typically valved at the factory for your spring rate. Springs and shocks go together, you need to match them up well.
Don't know what kind of race car you have... Generally tokikos are a cheap shock that work adequatley but wear easily. Either the koni's or bilstein's, if setup for your spring rate, will be better.
Depending on what you're racing, you migth be regulated by class, I'd assume you've checked this already.
Mike at ISC recommends Bilstien, Jim Susko of Gforce Engineering recommends Koni. They can both be great if setup right.

These apparently came off a 7, just wondering if anybody had experience with them, not hard to change them and test back to back, so we'll see this year on the track. I'm not a fan of Tokicos, they are at best an autocross shock, not very sturdy or reliable.
